Thanksgiving Day

I ended up cooking Thanksgiving dinner this year.
It was touch and go with my grandfather so lunch reservations were canceled and i went to work.
I must say, it was pretty easy and super yummy.
After lunch, a visit to the Gaylord and then the Bells had us fat and happy.

Holiday week

I posted here about my favorite picture.

It is of my amazing grandfather and his newest grandbaby.

My grandfather passed away yesterday evening.

While he is out of pain and dancing with the Angels, it still brings great saddness to my heart.

He was one of those guys where everyone in town knew him.

One of his best friends, jack, also passed away last night.

Ironic that they went together.

I'm sure they are sitting together, smiling and about to enjoy Mexican food.

Those who knew them well will remember their Mexican dinner dates.

We are heading to Texarkana tomorrow evening after the Bells Thanksgiving.

Sunday

We've been pretty busy lately.
Spent a few days in East Texas.
Brought a Uhaul back.
Friends came up from Austin.
We had a lot of fun.
Harper's newborn pictures were too fun watching Kristen take them.
This weekend was filled of laziness, eating entirely too much and cleaning.
We have stuff put everywhere due to lack of room.

It is Thanksgiving week.

HG is out of school.

We're staying in town.

Play dates, doctor appointments, lots of food, downloading a ton of pictures and family time.

Aunt Collins and Poppy are coming on Thursday.

HG is beyond excited for that.

Christmas shopping is the mind.

3 weeks until a vacation.

Thank goodness for plently of warm clothes in storage.

HG's Christmas shopping is done.

We're headed to East Texas Sunday.

Today is my Grandfather's birthday.

He is also a Veteran.

Tomorrow we have a birthday party.

33 days until we head on family vacation.
