Little Rock and TXK

We spent a fw days Little Rock enjoying ourselves a little much.
Harper's ear infection did move to the other ear as well.
Good times.
She is biting and chewing everything in site as well.
I have bite marks all over my shoulders.
I numbed her up and felt her two year molar up top trying to move in.
TWO YEAR MOLAR!
Nuts.
We've done a little table dancing.
In the above picture she is thinking yeah, what are you going to do about this?
Lots of eating.
She loves a dog bed.
Sweet HG enjoying some US pizza and a surpreme salad.
Looking cute thanks to cousin Laura.
Road ponies.
Took over dog beds.
Kissed pigs and painted pottery.
Played for hours.
My Aunt made us this delicious meal.
Then she and mom made 8 dozen cookies.

Harper is causing more bruises biting her legs and feet.
Ouch teeth and ears.
Kroger.
Tastes like Babe's and has less than one gram of fat.
So much laughter with Danielle's dogs.
We played outside at Poppy's house.
Of course Harper's runny nose turned green again after.
We love to be clean.
Or swim in the tub minus the soap.
Harper asks for the Ipad.

Baby girl was not feeling well on Sunday again.
Fever, woke to throwing up, pulling on ears again.
She had to try out her old swing.
Love spending family time.
Picked up sticks and pine cones.
Harper was licking her snacks and sticking them to her.
Such a hoot!
I love my dad's yard in the spring.
I actually love it anytime.
Baby girl slept in HG's toddler bed at Poppy's.
HG acting like Bob Barker.
The name is a hoot huh?
Chewing on that one terrible, horrible and never ending eye tooth.
Harper LOVES freeze dried fruit now.
She is slowly but surely eating normal food again.
Having goldfish, raisins, diced chicken and butternut squash in the pouch.
Eating Cheerio's.
She is spoiled with the multi grain Cherrio's and would hardly eat the plain.
No fear Noah saved the day.
HG is such a wiz during her computer time.
More pony riding.
Giving the boys some excerise.
She loves this little table and saying cheese.
Copper will turn 13 on our anniversary in May.
He and Boots are best of buds and keep each other young.

Love my dad's barn.

How we rolled into town.
Harper's leaking ear infection a few days into treatment.
Still looked terrible.
The culture only grew Staph epi.
Thank goodness.

Oh Zaxby's you are terrible.
Gross.
So disappointing.
I'm so sorry Raising Cane's.
Such an adorable house Mom and Scott have in Texarkana now.
Redo in the works.

This melts my heart.
Baby was at her feet when she went to sleep.
Training those ponies.
Rocking is my favorite.

You mean you don't do this on a typical Sunday?
Harper and I rode together.
She loves Texarkana and the room to roam.
See, it hapened more than once.
Cupcakes are a daily event at Mia's.
Boots is a beast.
Rock solid.
Brushes are over rated.

Little Rock is always a treat for us.
This time, we stuck close to the house since Harper had to cover her ears.
Mom, Aunt Tonia and Mr Scott spoiled us like always.
I always think of nice things I can do for them but it never seems like enough.
Same with my dad.

We spent Sunday night in Texarkana and ran wild.
In the yard that is.
Danielle cooked an amazing spaghetti sauce last night.
Oh.my.word.good.
HG wants to move next door to them.
I'm totally sure Poppy would go for that.
Yeah Right.
Poppy might have a peeping HG much too often.

We are back home, arrived around 6.
Gearing up for a busy week.
Ash Wednesday and Lent begins.
We give up things, we do things to make us a better person and we give more during these 40 days.
I will talk more about that soon.
I'm going to be hell on wheels for a few days I assure you.
Valentine's and the husband's birthday as well.
Chris and I are both Aquarius.
HG and I will have so much fun with both events.
Her Valentine's have been fnished for weeks.
Hoping Harper gets some rest, no fever, green snot or ear infection tomorrow.
She has been suffering since the 2nd of the month.

Follow up to allergies, viruses and colds

Tuesday less than 24 hours after seeing our Pedi, Harper's ears started pussing, leaking fluid and dried blood. Those of you who are familiar with ear aches know this isn't something that happens in less 24 hours. She had probably had an ear ache for 3 or so days due to the severity when we arrived at our other Pedi's office. Her pedi we saw Monday looked in her ears and didn't say anything. Over night Tuesday, the husband tried to help clean out Harper's fluid filled ears so that she might be able to lay flat for a short nap. I spent hours walking her and holding her upright while she was crying in pain. We knew it was bad. Upon arriving to the only Pedi will use until we decide on another (luckily, we all LOVE her but being 4 hrs away isn't good), she and her nurse were very concerned at the infection growing in Harper's ear. It was so full of puss and fluid (ear infection) that she had to drain some out to even be able to see in there. Then she swabbed her ear twice to culture it. On top of that and her snotty nose, her million dollar eye is red and swollen. I'm holding my breath and praying it is just red and swollen from her ear being so infected. We definitely don't want to travel down that surgery road again. We will hear back on culture Friday and head to ENT next week to make sure it is healing. Poor girl hasn't slept well since last week, Thursday I believe, and it will probably be 3 days or so before she is able to rest for an extended period of time. Everyone we saw Wednesday was blown away at the amount of fluid running from her ear. It is NASTY, gross and sticky. She looked miserable. We currently have her on antibiotics, drops, her singular, a dose of Zyrtec 12 hours after the Singular for the next couple of days and her reflux medicine. Whew, I think that is it.

I truly hate that we are going to switch Harper on her Pedi but enough is enough. I've been saying we needed to switch for a long because she requires a doctor being proactive and not waiting around to see if her little body can fight it. Everyone knows she can't. Now, I have other adults as well as doctors telling me I need to seek someone who doesn't over look things or who just refers everything to a virus. For right now, we will keep HG at their current pediatrician and switch Harper. HG rarely needs anything besides fiber and Zyrtec so we feel that keeping her there is okay.

Happy Thursday Y'all!!!

I think our skipping school for the zoo might be canceled due to keeping Harper's ear covered.

Allergies, viruses & Colds

These are so hard to tell apart. It is amazing how fast allergies can turn into a head cold or a sinus infection. We all had been so lucky lately and I kept holding my breathe, I knew our time was coming. Friday into Saturday morning, Harper was snotty and stuffy. I'm sure it had nothing to do with the 6 + hours we spent outside on Friday.  We are back to her one hour a day in the yard right now. Saturday into Sunday, no better. Saturday evening, I started to get the sniffles and HG as well. Fast forward to Monday, Harper cried her little heart out from 4-6 this morning. It wasn't a belly ache, she was so stuffy and just holding her poor teeth. It worried me that her ears might be infected even though I take every precaution possible for those bad boys. Tubes aren't cheap and I don't want them to fall out just yet. So after two swim lessons and  HG's dermatologist appointment, we headed to the Pedi. It is a virus, or a cold virus, or the croup or Roseola. Nice huh? Sometimes they are SO hard to pin point. Well, she had a killer case of Roseola last year. Doubt it is that. Talk about a freaky rash after her fever died down, you will know if your kid has that. Possibly a cold? sure, I think a lot of people are sick right now. Croup? Yes, possibly, two people (a dr and a nurse) commented that it sounded like the croup. We have breathing treatments in just about every room of our house so we're safe there.  She just started the coughing.  But what about a plain ole sinus infection? I'm banking it is that with just a teething or freak fever. With the fever, they always think virus and that teething doesn't cause fever. In my girls, teething causes fever, terrible diapers, oh my word terrible diapers massive fits, snotty noses, sleepless nights, etc. I'm sure the red hair has absolutely nothing to do with it either. Either way, Harper is feeling crummy and I had resorted to learning how to use nose spray on myself. I can master daily shots in the belly and blood all over the face from falling babies but nose spray? Yep, so foreign to me. Once I got the hang of it, I learned you don't use half the bottle like a neti pot. Ouch! I'm hoping my nose isn't bleeding for the rest of the month.

We headed to swim Monday morning even though I debated it. Chlorine kills off a lot of germs and the babies never really touch each other. I honestly think it helped her nose. It was clear the entire time. Harper is such a ham in her class and has everyone laughing the entire 30 minutes. I know that isn't surprising that she has everyone laughing. All the little kids are so precious and the mommas, just as precious. Harper is really doing well and held her breathe for 5-6 seconds today. The class is just a basic class, kind of building her confidence for the next level. We practice various things and have fun. I don't want my children to be scared of the water but I want them to be able to swim correctly. We began lessons very early in my family, stuck with them for a long time and began learning to swim a mile at age 9. The husband's family was just as strong in their swimming.  I would love for HG to be on the swim team if she enjoys it in a few years. She is a natural as I and the husband are. Harper, she is like a bull frog in the water. She can hold her breathe, close her eyes and still comes up yelling for the duck or baby doll. HG was total opposite. She did not like putting her face in at first, still swims with eyes open (thank you goggles!) and can gracefully master the length of a pool. Her splash is tiny compared to Harper love. We are working on side breaths right now rather than sticking your head up and dog paddling for a breath. HG did great today and this is something we will work on for the next two levels.

HG had her long awaited dermatologist appointment today. I spent a lot of time with the Nurse Practitioner and I must say that I loved her. She was super sweet and answered everything I asked. HG had a rash around her ankle develop in December and it is still present. The bumps were fully dried out today and cracking. They believe it is a form of Eczema. The husband gets bad dry spots on his back, my hands peel and crack, and Harper's face has Eczema. They also told us being red heads with fair freckled skin that we are more prone to it.

Tuesday was school for HG, lunch date for the husband and I where Harper slept through it. She was up many times through out the night with trouble breathing. We're holding our breath and hoping for a better night. If not, we're off to a different doctor in the morning. I dread any travel into Grapevine right now as roads are shut down. We're already mapping out our beatable route for the morning to avoid most traffic issues.

The girls and I are sitting at our favorite oil change place waiting on my tires to be rotated. Is it bad that we have a favorite place? The guys are awesome here and the girls love coming. Win win situation for me.

Sushi and such

Saturday, we joined some of our friends for sushi to celebrate my birthday. Yes, again! No one snapped pictures except when April mastered the horse. I was crying from laughing. Jason, jason, Jessica, Case, April, the husband and I all had a nice time. I hadn't enjoyed sushi in a couple of years so I helped myself to many things on the menu. We were stuffed on sushi, the first time ever. Blue Fish in Las Colinas was definitely a good choice. Kind of expensive for sushi but very fresh and tasty.

The girls stayed the night at the husband's parents, we were very thankful. It was the first time for both to stay and us not. We needed it, I got to sleep in a bit, but Harper threw a big fit so naturally when I found that out I was so upset. Poor girl is suffering from allergies, new teeth and was just unhappy. Whatever the cause might be, no one like screaming kids when they are keeping them. The husband and I rushed over and Harper was down for a nap. Whew! I can only imagine how she was, girl can be a massive fit thrower.

As with any big football day, it isn't complete without wings. Why is that? I could seriously drink Pete's hot sauce out of the bottle any day of the week. The husband ran for some wings, burgers, quesadillas and my in laws whipped up all kinds of dips and things while he was gone. We enjoyed our Superbowl feast before the actual Superbowl this year. Tonight, during the game it was stew and corn bread. Fancy I know but I didn't think we needed any more take out. We had eaten out every meal since Friday morning. Whew, that is a lot of eating out.

We're gearing up for a busy week with our crew, all suffering from allergies.

Birthday Slumber Party

Yesterday we had a slumber party at Toni's house. It was SO fun! I honestly don't think Harper has ever played that hard in her life.

We started at 10:30 Friday and headed home this morning after a visit with my cousins. Laughter continued until wee hours of the morning for me. I'm old, I crashed. Poor Harper's allergies are in full force after spending all day outside in the beautiful sun.

Last night was so fun and can't wait for our spa night coming soon.
