Unexpected, fun trip to Texas

We had no plans to travel home to Texas over the Holidays but when family emergencies emerge, we were packed and ready in no time.  The drive is long, even as the kids get older, the drive is still long. We love seeing family and friends, just wish it were a few hours closer.

First stop was seeing my parents and sister in Texarkana.

Then we managed to make a quick trip to see family in Dallas. Our typical hotel is under going renovations but thankfully, we found another decent one close by. Hotel and kids can be challenging. We hate that we missed time with our friends but plan on making up for it in July.

Super cute Cousins!

We got super lucky and had lunch with my cousin and her family on the way out of town. It is always funny because my kids look like they could belong to her and vice versa.
Then we headed back east for a nights stay before driving all the way back. That was pretty much torture on the kids.

The kids love being in Texarkana and all the room to roam and play.  I love that it was warm enough in winter to mess around without much worry of the snakes that like to roam the land.

Hudson turns 2

Huddy Buddy turned to BIG TWO at the end of January and we celebrated by having some friends over for pizza. If you know Hudson at all, his favorites are loaded supreme pizza topped with roasted asparagus and salsa.

He loves a good nerf gun war.

Such a fun, easy party with some friends.

Hudson and Harper are still neck and neck in size. She was an inch taller at 38 inches compared to Hudson at 37 during his two year check up. However, he did out weight her at 36 pounds compared to her 35 even.
One year vs two year. Baby boy has turned brown with red highlights rather than full on red.
Love sweet little reminders on time hop.

Happy Birthday Hudson Christopher, we love you!!

Christmas 2015

We had a lovely Christmas 2015 around our house. We opted for Christmas Day Mass instead of fighting the crowds on Christmas Eve with a little boy not feeling 100%.
Santa came and left perfect little gifts for each little one.

As fast as Christmas arrives, it is over. We thank everyone for the gifts and love that we could feel. Always tell your loved ones just how much they mean, tomorrow isn't guaranteed so make today matter.
