Sunday Day 3

Leg compressions.

These help to prevent blood clots.

Being in a hospital bed, laying down and going stir crazy can apparently lead to clots.

Totally joking of course, I think that is common knowledge.

That is always the main concern for me if I ever had to go on full bed rest.

Sounds like that won't ever happen.

I was checked and in a room by 9 Friday morning.

It was your typical big delivery room.

The bed was a large thick plastic bed that could easily be cleaned for the next delivery.

I do like that the walls are thick.

Very quiet.

Until someone delivers with out an epidural.

Yesterday evening around 6:30, I was moved into an antipartum room.

These are typically for patients, pregnant of course, who aren't exactly going home yet.

BUT...I'm busting this place.

Mom aka Mia, Aunt Tonia and Collins came to our rescue on Friday shortly after I had been admitted.

The husband had to work on Friday evening.

Last night after they had a late dinner he was asking if she was going to stay with him.

No way, I'm staying with Mia.

She loves her some hotel, hotel, Holiday Inn even if it is the Hampton.

She is going to be devastated to see them so.

Like pity party all day long.

They all keep trying to take her.

My dad wants to drive from Houston to pick her up.

I really appreciate all the offers but my baby girl is staying put.

I'll send her, a bag is packed and ready for Miss Thang.

Just not today.

I'm not delivering today.

Praying for next Monday at the earliest.

I'll be 32 weeks.

Still tiny but closer to 4 pounds.

I can't imagine spending much time with out either baby.

I get teary eyed when I think about her going again for a week.

I Am now on IV fluid bag 8 I believe.

EIGHT.

That is a butt load of fluid.

Some day sometime I am supposed to get off to see if I can hold in fluids on my own

Goodness, surely I can.

I can't remain here for WEEKS.

Harper is doing pretty good.

She seems to have the lazy baby issue when they want her to do something.

HG was the same way.

Plus, after my 4 pieces of pie and a massive brownie yesterday, she was up most of the night.

I apparently slept through it thanks to my first magic pill.

11:45-5 when I needed more fluid.

Much better than the 3:30-6 the night before.

Poor husband sat up here with me most of yesterday.

He was going stir crazy.

Now he knows how I felt all alone on Friday.

That is all we have to report for now.

Fluid was a 5 when we arrived.

Yesterday it was up to 8.5.

Wish it would get to a 10-12 but I'll take what I can get.

I'm just terrified that without the iv's my levels won't stay up.

Aunts & Uncles

Chris and I are able to officially add a new title to our names.
Aunt Whitney & Uncle Chris.
We are thrilled.
We get the best of both worlds.
Spoil her like she is ours and return her to her parents.
I can't get over how much she looks like JD's baby pictures.
Goodness gracious, scary.
I think by a year old, she will look more like her momma.
But that hair.
Oh my goodness, that hair.
It was the very first thing I said to the husband.
She has so much awesome hair. We can't wait to meet the newest addition in the family.
Kendall delivered right around 41 weeks and baby Piper weighed in at 8 lbs 10 ounces.
Healthy and beautiful.
Mom and baby are doing great.
Oh, dad too!

Congrats to our brother and sister in law on one of God's greatest gifts ever.

Prayers

We are in need of prayers for Miss Harper Elizabeth.
So if you have any to spare, please send one up.
My fluid was low this morning (5.2) so I was immediately admitted to labor and delivery.
I delivered HG when it was down to a 5
Lucky me, I've gotten her steroid shot, two shots of terbutaline to stop contractions and lots of blood work.
Like with HG, they were real contractions and not BH's.
I will have a repeat scan on Sunday and my 2nd second steroid shot around noon tomorrow.
We are hanging in there for now.
I will update on Facebook more often than here.

Thursday

Soccer at the park after breakfast with Mrs. Debbie.

On what would have been Lindsey's 23rd birthday.

Sweet girl, we miss your bubbly spirit and your laughter.

HG is quite the soccer player.

Wow, she can kick that ball.

Probably those big boats we call feet.

I have the same issue too.

Loving on Momma and Harper.I packed two preemie outfits in my hospital bag.
I pray that the only use they get are for baby dolls.
But when your Specialist tells you it is smart to pick a few up.....
You do it.

Ice cream sandwiches
First Fall craft.

Dollar Tree Styrofoam pumpkin.

Dollar Tree flowers.

So fun enjoying a craft with the little one.

It might be all flowers now thanks to the little one.

Heading to school Thursday morning.

Purple sketchers are a must.
Sugarland and Taylor Swift on You tube.

What happened to all the kid songs?

Taco Tuesday

Pepper taco.

Yes, you heard that right.

I gave in and had a Pumpkin Spice Latte.

Decaf.

Skim.

No Whip.

My craving that kept me up all night.

Totally wasn't as yummy as I remembered.

Such a bummer. School Tuesday morning.

Refuses pictures.

Mommy's little school girl.

Addicted to green beans or "beans" lately.

Daddy's money is now HG's money.

Boy, have you ever felt a FULL piggy bank.

Don't drop it on your toe!

We need lots of prayers in the morning.

My bi-weekly BBP and NST.

Praying my fluid levels are the same.

We are 95% prepared if not.

I know God won't give us something we can't handle.

It is all in his hands.

I was lucky enough to have breakfast with Toni this morning.

She has been a life saver this pregnancy.

I love good friends.

Poppy came by this evening.

He had a meeting at DFW this afternoon.

HG was so excited to see him twice in one week.

Oh how she wanted to go back to Texarkana with him.

Soon enough my love, you will go for a visit.

Cuppa Cuppa Cuppa Cake

I love Steel Magnolia's.

One of my all time favorite movies.

I've been watching it for what seems like forever.

Great quotes through out the entire thing.

Truvy: It's a cup of flour, a cup of sugar and a cup of fruit cocktail with the juice, and you mix and bake at 360 until gold and bubbly.

Clairee: Sounds awful rich!

Truvy: I know, that is why I serve it over ice cream to cut the sweetness.

The little one has been making me this cake for a while during bath time.

Then it went off.....DING DING.

Why not let her make the real thing?

I could have sworn I made this before.

I mean I really thought I had.

For the life of me, I can't remember.

Pregnancy brain?

So easy.

Almost too easy.

It was good.

Better with ice cream or whipped cream on top.

Very low fat.

Very high in sugar.

We used light syrup (you need the syrup).

We used light fruit cocktail.

I had 3 pieces in one setting.

Guess it wasn't too bad.

What you need:

1 cup of sugar, 1 cup of self rising flour and 1 cup of fruit cocktail (with juices)

Mix well together

Place in a butter greased round pie pan

Bake at 350 F for 35-45 minutes or until lightly brown and bubbly.

Rapunzel, Rapunzel.

She has officially changed her name to Tangled.

Isn't her name Rapunzel?

Either way, she looks pretty dang cute.

Poppy treated her to his adorable dress up outfit.

I think she was the most excited about the long curls.

She always has a blast with her Poppy.

Can't get enough looks in the mirror.

Thanks Poppy for a yummy lunch at Uncle Julio's, HG's dress up outfit and her shin guards, socks and mini practice ball.

Soccer here we come!

Weekend

We've had a nice weekend so far.

The husband is in Kansas hunting with his dad and brothers.

They are having a good hunt, enjoying men time and the cooler temps.

I'm laying in bed just finishing up Sweet Home Alabama.

Oh how I could watch this show a million times.

Mom came over yesterday for a visit and to check on us.

She treated us to dinner of HG's choice.

Babe's of course.

Girl ate the white meat off of two entire chicken breast.

So funny that she loves that place.

Mia took her to Target and got her an ice cream play doh set.

This is a BIG deal.

BIG.

It was on her Santa list.

Lets just say we've played with it a TON since.

Goodness, girl loves some messy play doh.

With any visit, we had to take her up to the Restaurant.

Dip, mac n cheese, pot roast, ice cream, the works.

Always so yummy.

We had a great time while she was here and hope she visits again soon.

HG loves having sleep overs as she calls them.

Finally dug out king bed spread out of storage.

It isn't in the best shape but is serving the purpose.

Amazing once you actually put a nice spread on a bed, it changes the whole look.

We're changing colors eventually but haven't found anything we just love.

Or I should say that we love and can afford.

Some sets are well over $500.

With kids....eh no thanks.

Still looking for our matching pillows.

I added a thermal curtain the color of the gold in the spread to the window last night.

Our room was so nice this morning and not hot.

Had to return stuff to Vista Ridge today.

We might have had one too many iced cookies.

Played in the play area for far too long.

Road this ice cream truck three times at 75 cents each ride.

But we were having a blast.

She was so good.

I enjoyed sitting and watching her play for well over an hour with all the little kids.

So cute.

Also while there, I stepped in to Jc Penny's.

Typically I am not a huge fan but there are good deals to be had there.

I have found great sundresses, maternity and house stuff.

I wanted to see what their curtains and bed spreads looked like.

We never made it there.....

The kids area. 80% off Carter's.

Yes, 80 % off.

Harper scored big time.

I spent $32 and got her 10 things, one that can be 2 outfits so really 11 things.

HG got a stuffed Woody from Toy Story.

I'm talking maybe 2 feet tall Woody for $4.74.

We saved $117 total!

That is my kind of shopping day.

Miss thing got her finger stuck in the lid.

It wasn't the hard plastic but rather a cheap plastic lid.

Oh my goodness, it was totally funny.

She went nuts on that cup.

She went nuts period.

I was crying because I was laughing so hard.

Goodness.

It was hilarious.

I could't quit laughing.

When there is a big head on your cervix and bladder and you can't stop laughing......

Yeah, good things don't happen.

HG wanted to go to that red and white burger place for dinner.

I assume she is talking about In n Out burgers?

She has only been once but can't figure out where else she'd be talking about.

Sorry, wasn't up to driving and waiting in line.

Steak in Shake was red and white so it worked.

She had sliders.

I had a burger.

We shared a milk shake.

They have some special going on right now.

Our entire meal was $3.48.

I think we will be returning soon.

Their burgers aren't fantastic.

I love french fries.

As long as they are cooked properly.

Blowing bubbles in the bubble bath.

Tons of play doh time.

Part of Harper's BBP on Thursday.

What we expected to be a perfect visit, turned out just the opposite.

She is still at 3 pounds.

My fluid dropped 5 cm in a week.

It is hoovering around what is lowest acceptable amount.

My Specialist was very concerned.

I ran into the same issue with HG.

They delivered her two weeks later.

Once it reached 5cm.

They got in there and it was really only 2 cm left.

We are super close to 5 cm.

I see my regular OBGYN on Tuesday for another BBP and NST.

I see my Specialist on Friday for the same.

I was told to have a hospital bag packed just in case.

If you have an extra prayer, please say it for Harper.

I am washing all the clothes I have for her right now.

Packing a couple of the smallest onesies I have for her in my bag.

They will still be too big if I deliver in the next 2 weeks.

I can always repack larger clothes later.

HG was introduced to Mr. Bubbles.

Wow, great bubbles.
