Night out with friends

The husband and I enjoyed an evening of Rio Mambo followed by pool.
Rio Mambo is a place we have driven by many times but never dined.
I thought the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was decent.
They have a great bar area but the dining room was pretty basic.
But, then again we went for the food and margaritas, not the scenery.

While we had far too much fun, Harper reminded us at 5 this morning why we turn into pumpkins by 10.
HG and Harper sure love their Aunt Collins.

With her birthday next week, we surprised her with a cake and gifts. 

Rainy Thursday

We went through Harper taking her diaper off and peeing on the floor or climbing on the potty about 6 months ago. Since then, it has only happened a number of times.  This week hit. She can yank off a diaper in a matter of a second or two. We are in NO way going to potty train until closer to her birthday. NO WAY, oh it wears me out thinking about it.

Until then, we will just have to get faster and keep bathroom doors shut.

And look for puddles.

A frequent mishap around here.

Or one of us rescuing Harper out of the potty.
We have stepped up to cleaning the potty three or more times a week. :)

Or finding her naked on the potty.
HG used to take her clothes off too.

Or wearing mismatched pajamas because it wasn't worth the drama.

Ice cream date on a rainy day.

A month of groceries minus dairy, bananas, etc.

Yesterday after the store, HG and I made a huge pot of spaghetti sauce for the month.
We're trying to keep from going back until after our vacation.

 

We're helping host a special baby shower in New Braunfels in June.

We seriously can't wait.

We have a lot of fun activities planned while there and hope to plan some more.

We are beyond ready for this rainy weather to move out and our yard to dry out.

Everything is a mud puddle in our area.

It is really just too cold to play in the rain as well.

Parties, friends and more Easter

Monday was back to swim for Harper and boy did she make up for missing a week.
Still not doing the back float with ears in but back to that next week with plugs.
She is coming into the pool for me from the side now.
This is a big accomplishment when lessons are given.
Something we work up to and typically not until the end of water babies 2 or 3.
We are still finishing up 1.
Also, she will also kick those tiny feet at the speed of light while smiling ear to ear the whole time.
Such an important thing to learn and great exercise for the girls and momma to.
Of course HG is rocking that pool, there is no surprise there.

She has so much strength and is the youngest but the tallest in her class by far.
Five years until her first mile swim!!

After swim, HG had her first tea party wih her BFF.
Sweet Anna went over and beyond preparing for all of the activities.
HG, she just wanted to play.
New toys, lots of fun.
I felt terrible because Anna put a lot of work into it but kids will be kids.
Her little brother got sick so we were headed out.
HG threw a fit and I carried her out kicking and screaming.
Talk about embarrassing.
All evening, she has been worried if I forgave her along with God and Jesus.
Such a sweet soul trying to understand the world.



This past weekend was fun filled yet still low key with parties, friends and family.
Saturday, we had a birthday party at The Arc in Coppell for Jonah.
We LOVE this place and perfect for birthdays of any ages. SO fun!
Jonah's little sister and Harper will be in the same MDO class next fall.
She is so cute and has the most perfect hair on earth.
Seriously, she does.
After the
 party, we braved an early dinner with good friends.
This is a rare treat, taking the girls out   HG dyed some eggs early Saturday morning.

Easter 2013

We had a low key Easter weekend around here.

Birthday parties, dinner and family.

Hard to believe this is our last planned Easter in town for sometime.

Plans could always change though, nothing for us to drive across the US.

Harper loved her basket, we immediateness hid the candy.

Mean parents. 

She loved her Minnie.

Both girls did and tears were shed. 

With lots of rain recently and a major storm going on in Eastern Dallas Co, the Easter bunny hid the eggs inside.

Didn't seem to bother the girls. 

 Harper loves the egg hunt.

The girls loved their Easter baskets and egg hunts.

Had to travel to two different Churches for Mass just to be able to stand inside.

Have to love those people Holiday going Church people.

Easter afternoon, we headed to the Bell's house for Easter with them.

Always good food, wine and gifts for the girls.

Hg says, she doesn't know what she is will get but she always gets something going to Grandmommy's house.

I guess that is the way it is supposed to be with Grandparents.
