Slade's 2nd Bday

So much to catch up on, so little time.
Hoping to find a little time this week to work on them before I forget.

Tonight we headed down to Arlington for Slade's 2nd Birthday party. This is after getting home at 11 last night, playing with Poppy this morning, having one last lunch at Babe's and then swimming this afternoon. Worn out kids doesn't even begin to explain it. But, we are having a blast and soaking up our last few weeks in Texas.

Slade's party was at Little Gym and such a hit.

We had so much fun and loved seeing sweet friends.

Traveling friends

We were lucky enough to spend some time with dear friends today. They had been traveling on vacation for a week and ended up smack dab in our area. Any visit with the Boatrights is awesome.
10 month old Landry and 3 month old Hudson
Harper and Landry eating puffs.
Puffs are still one thing Harper will eat and are a life saver in Mass.
Sweet precious little ones.
Poor Bruce.
Tyler and HG were just thrilled to pick him up.
Harper and this dog bed.
No worries, the only dog that has been in it is a stuffed dog.
The swing set that will be taken down very soon.
Harper survived a big swing today.

Babies are so fun.
Love them.
Hudson was entertaining with shoving his fist down his mouth.

She was SO proud. So Proud.
Cristin is also Harper's Godmother.
We love them dearly, now if they would just move with us.

Going away party

Last Friday we rented out The Ark in Coppell for the girls and a few of their friends. Most of the kids invites were school friends and a handful of their favorites outside of school. While we wanted it fun, we also wanted it small and enjoyable. The Ark is one of our favorite play areas and even better that it is located inside a Church.
The girls and sweet Harper
Hailey Grace and Hudson
She is always moving and bouncing.
The big play area before kids arrived.
The toddler play area.
Harper's white cake.
HG'a chocolate cake.
Popcorn, cake and pizza.
He rarely cries over anything but he was high upset Friday morning. Turnes out that he indeed had another ear infection.
See they really do love each other.
Best buds.
Best buds.
A little Tylenol helped make him smile.
He might have busted the snaps open on his too cute for words outfit.

We played this party months ago and it is so hard to believe it has come and gone. It was bitter sweet for us. Many of head children began school with HG four years ago. We've watched them grow and mature for so long that we feel as if they are more than just friends. My heart aches as they all begin different schools, some moving to different cities and states. How could these babies be ready to face Kindergarten and the big world out there already?  We plan to soak up as much play time as we can with our precious friends until our close date.

Mother's Day

We were able to spend part of Mother's Day with both of our moms. I felt this was important as we are moving in just a few short weeks and are almost booked solid until then.  Next year, we will be miles and miles away so I scheduled us in their busy schedules.

First, my mom came over Saturday. The girls go crazy over their Mia. Hudson loves her cuddles and saving him from the wild girls. I had a baby shower most of Saturday so she helped Chris with Harper, then they picked up HG and we all juggled house showings until 7:45 that night.  We loved every minute of her time here. After lunch at TXRH Sunday, she headed home to spend the rest of the afternoon with Auntie Collins.
Most of the weekend was spent wiggling this tooth.
Sunday after the kids had a late nap, we headed to Mass in Irving with the husbands parents. The kids were thrilled to see them even though Harper did not make it through the service. We do MUCH better in the morning masses, it is witching hour for us after 5. Grandaddy treated us to BBQ after Mass which put a major smile on HG's face. Girl loves some BBQ. I am sure Harper ate crackers, imagine that.
My babies, they carry my heart everywhere they go.
Have I mentioned I love little boy clothes?
Sweet Harper love
Beautiful Hailey Grace

Because I give her ice cream......you know since we eat ice cream often. Ha!
The girls made lots of cards for me this year at school and Mrs Dayle's.
Naps!
TXRH had a great set up for the kids. We came home with kites and puzzles.
Notice HG's beautiful dress up dress.
We all lost that battle.
Oh well.

Here we are mid May, showing our house, gearing up for the girl's going away party and Hudson's baptism. Our hearts (and schedules) are over flowing.

First Tooth

Hailey Grace lost her first tooth today during rest time at school. Of course I was so very sad I wasn't with her when it fell out but she was in great hands. Her precious teachers are probably so glad it fell out.
The tooth fairy isn't coming tonight but she will come visit tomorrow. Yesterday, in the flooding rain and sections of Rufe Snow being closed, we searched for the perfect tooth fairy pillow. She knew exactly what she wanted and thanks to Amazon prime, she will arrive tomorrow.
Our baby girl is growing up far too fast.
