Curious George

At the little one's MDO, Curious George goes home with each of the kids for the weekend.

A few week back was ours.

Just like 3 year olds, George is curious and always into things.

When it was out weekend, HG was beyond excited.

Tons of pictures, a report with pictures sent back to school for HG to tell her class about their exciting weekend and a bath, he was headed back.

We were lucky enough to see George today at a birthday party.

It is his weekend at Charlie's house.

A night away

We have had a busy week around here.
The husband flew back out on Monday morning after being home less than 24 hours.
My mom and Aunt arrived on Tuesday night.
Poor HG, she fought to stay up but Mister sand man had his way.
I headed out Wednesday with the warm sun on my face but was greeted by the cold in Louisville.
I left all kinds of notes, colic drops, swaddles, 9 bottles of breast milk and cans of formula.
We are so thankful that my mom and aunt were willing to make the long 5 hour drive to watch the girls. We aren't sure what we would do without them.
From what I hear, the girls were spoiled.
Very spoiled I tell ya!
They took HG to legoland and Harper stayed up all afternoon.

I flew out to meet the husband in Louisville just in time for the cold to arrive.
It turned to snow today but luckily I high tailed it and caught my flight.
The husband, well that is a different story. He is trying to get on a flight back and find his luggage. Hopefully, he will be home tomorrow.
There was a dinner party out at Kent's ranch for the AC crew. The place is amazing, breath taking, indescribable.
Reminds me of a resort.
We dined on salmon, prime rib and lamb chops.
I ate enough asparagus that I'm sure my pee still stinks.
Ha, but you know that terrible asparagus pee if you eat them.
We saw old friends and made new ones.
It is truly wonderful what this company does for their employees and how down to earth the owner is.

As anyone with a small child is, I was in a mad rush to get home today. 25 hours later, I was in my car. I thought I was going to cry I was so eager to see the girls.  Babies, they are kind of addicting and I needed to love on mine. Today, she is 3 months old but we will talk about that later. HG greated me at the door. I knew she would be fine, she has been staying with them since 18 months. That was the first time I would even consider leaving her.  She was so sweet and missed me terribly. It is definitely easier with the second but I was tearful thinking about her. Everyone survived, the adults were a little sleepy today but we headed out for a great lunch at Bucca Di Beppo. I owe my mom and aunt big time. We are ever so thankful that we have them to watch the girls and that allows me to support Chris in his work. They promised me they would come back. :-)

Saturday in Weatherford

The girls and I headed to Weatherford this morning for a visit.
The husband's grandfather lives out there and we love to visit.
He is such a special person.
After catching up, we headed outside for HG to run.
It was just what she needed.

Don't feed the wild animals

HG was given a hershey's chocolate bar after school for part of her snack.
Well Momma had half and HG had the other.
She was nuts for the next hour, my goodness.
A wild animal I tell ya!

We finally got Harper to sleep.
I'm laying in bed eating Target popcorn.
Yes, I really am.
Poor baby yelled from 930 until 1230.
Good times.
It is a little bit of colic, a little bit of reflux, she is still stuffy (even after finishing another round of meds), and a little bit over tired.
Mostly typical baby issues.
Thank goodness for her glider and noise machine with the show.

Barbie Bike

Poppy brought HG a Barbie bike.
She had only been wanting one for 10 years Mom.
I wasn't aware she was 10 yet, news to me.
I am not sure who had more fun, HG or the adults.
I missed her first crash.
Chris said it was bad.
A dora band aid helped her poor little knee.
Probably best I was inside adding onions and bacon to the beans.
I could simmer pinto beans each day just for the smell.

She did good, a little nervous but good for the most part.

I looked and looked for her helmet, hopefully it will show up sooner than later.

I asked if we could replace the training wheels with the wheels that are on the back for extra safety.

Wednesday worn out day

So much to blog about, so little time.

We're still pretty busy around here.

I haven't been to sleep before 1 or 2 in the morning since Christmas.

From trying to make Christmas fit in our tiny place to dealing with the apartment complex to house shopping to the husband working hard on his next project to school starting back up, we're running all the time. Let's not forget selling houses too, life with a busy 3 year old, grocery shopping, the semi sale at VS (oh so many smell good lotions!), travels, etc.

I keep telling the husband I am going to be a home body for a bit when we move.

One good thing to report is we can move whenever. The apartment complex finally realized they are truly at fault and said we could go whenever. Lovely how they just now told us.

House shopping will wear a girl out.....or make her drink wine. We found a house. We found a couple. Some went like candy. Some are too far out for right now. Some were too old. Some needed too much work. We wanted a pool. I am glad we decided against a pool. Say a prayer for us!

School is back in session two days a week. The husband and I were more excited than HG. Dance resumed as well. Debating on Tiny Tots Gym class as well.

HG got a trim today after dance and lunch at Five Guys Burgers. We went to this cute little girl place in Southlake. They spray glitter in your hair and put it on your cheek, she was in love.

The little munchkin is 12 weeks.

Leave it to us to break a house in we haven't even bought yet.

HG tested out all her dance moves.

Then her gymnastics.

Dance class.
