Summer is here

The weeks are flying by.  July is almost here. Crazy! The husband is of course working in Louisville but will be home earlier this week and not the typical 7 days. We always love that.  The next two weeks are going to be full of fun and fly by in the blink of an eye.  Summer is here. Two months left of play as HG says.

HG has VBS starting for her first time tomorrow.
Would it be crazy if i bawl my eyes out?
Last year she wasn't old enough, still 3.

This was another shot from Father's Day that was just perfect in our opinion.

Harper has learned to take self shots and record stuff on my cell.
May or may not have found my cell phone in the trash this morning by hearing it ring.
The phone was supposed to be on the charger and we were changing sheets.
Baby girl is fast.

One day last week, she threw a massive fit when we attempted to put on a real shirt.
So out she went in her Elmo pajama top.
She was so proud.

Boxes turned into forts are the best.

Lots of summer dishes around here.

Harper has started making silly faces.

She thought she hit the jackpot.
She loves a Dora and Minnie game on there.

Never a dull moment.

Lots of fun equals worn out babies.

Saturday, we headed to Laken and Braxton's birthday party at the same place we are having HG's.

Such a great fully covered toddler area for the babes to swim.
Or climb like Harper and Braxton.

One good cupcake.
After the party, we stopped by to see the husband's parents then headed to Aspen Creek for lunch.
HG has been asking to go for a while and Harper just so happened to fall asleep so it worked out perfectly.
We stuffed ourselves silly.

Then she crashed once agan.

Friday evening was spent with Heidi while she snapped away at the girls.
We can't wait to see more.

Father's Day, birthdays, road trips

Our Strawberries.

The husband made it home just in time to celebrate Father's Day.
HG, she is a little like me when it comes to celebrating and gift.
Chris wasn't even through the front door before she was screaming about what he was going to be gifted.

He got a Yeti cooler and a really neat money clip that says we'll always love you daddy.

Plus chocolate brownie cup cakes and Italian creme cake.
We spent Sunday morning at Mass with the husband's parents followed by lunch at Cozymel's.
Not only were we celebrating Father's Day, we were also celebrating Grandmommy's birthday.
HG planted her a garden and gift cards to Chick Fil A, Red Lobster, Starbucks and On the Border grew in the planted rocks and dirt (aka chocolate). HG chose all the gift cards on her own and proudly presented the gift during lunch.
As you can see in the picture, she also wrapped a special gift for Grandaddy.
It was a Texas A&M wine stopper she was equally as proud of.
Lunch was good, luckily Harper napped during it as it smack dab in the middle of her nap time.

Ice snow cones are a must in this heat before a BBQ dinner.
Ribs, chicken, beans and greens greeted us on Sunday night after an evening working in the yard.

I spy a Princess.

Sometimes I wonder how kids are so smart on the computers.
Then I remember that this was me at HG's age except old school Apples and IBMs.
My dad has baby birds all over his land, praying these make it since in a fern hanging up high.

Baby girl LOVES East Texas.
Outside, outside, outside.
She loves every minute of it.

We headed East around lunch on Monday after we got the okay that Harper was good to go.
My brother and his beautiful fiance were in from LA meeting us in Texarkana.
It was so good to hug their neck and my brother kissed me on the head.
Seriously melted my heart into a million pieces.
Both girls had so much fun seeing them as well as Auntie Collins, Poppy and Danielle.
My soon to be sister in law is so fun with the girls and gets so excited playing with them.
She makes me want to be more playful and laugh louder when playing.
It was amazing watching them interact.
I will post pictures when I get them downloaded.

Really into coloring lately.

Danielle's mom got us an amazing cake to celebrate.

Humid East Texas weather does wonders for this baby's hair.
Come on curls.

HG made Poppy some redneck wine glasses for Father's Day.
We also found a red solo cup one and a Vanderbilt wine stopper.
Breakfast at Chick Fil A and a two minute play time.

Nice and greasy to love on Daddy.

So nice outside this afternoon.
HG mails letters each month to different people.
Thanks to our monthly Birchbox, she though Big Tex fit perfectly on here.
I'm sure Debbie laughed when it arrived and could almost see HG's excitement in the card.

So nice outside late this afternoon.
Picnics, tea parties, kicking contests, Taco Tuesday and a deep scrub in the tub.

We are home, in bed looking forward to the rest of the week.
Harper and her princess shoes.
From HG's life size Cinderella doll.
She wants to wear them every where.
Then she wants you to smell them.
Seriously, she wants people to smell her shoes.
Who on earth taught my child that?

IV's and things.

Things always seem to happen at once.

Croup.
Bam.
Molars.
Bam.
Not waiting to eat much.
Bam.
The husband always gone.
Bam.

Harper love became dehydrated and pooped her way through a box of diapers.
Litterly.
Poor thing is still so burned from all the poop.
We load her up with vaseline and butt cream but still so burned.
She had so many in 24 hours that our Dr sent us to ER.
We were well above the cut off.
White blood cell count was great so no infection. She was a little off on dehydration, most likely that was the issue since everyone around her is okay. Meaning probably not a virus she picked up while at doctor office a couple of times. She quickly (or not so quickly in HG terms) got some fluid, was given gatorade and some goldfish. That quickly gave her enough sugar to begin flirting with all the guys in the building. Oh those goo goo eyes already and rosy cheeks. :)

She is MUCH better today. Ate well, still on high starch until Sunday when we can resume normal diet unless the poop continues. Today, we only had 10 dirty diapers. Such a relief. So much better. She also felt better, still dragging a little from loosing so much fluid. We're hoping to gain the 1.5 pounds back quickly that she lost in 24 hours.

HG wrote a lot of letters that went out today.
They were all so sweet and cute.
Mr. Scott always gets bills according to HG and says they are no fun.
She wanted him to know that it wasn't a bill so he could smile when he opened.
When did she turn 12?

Ran out this morning to Kroger for a few needed things/
We came out loaded down with lots of extra random stuff.
Like ribs for lunch and cupcakes for Father's Day.

While i was loading the dish washer and cleaning up from lunch, HG handed Harper a cupcake that was for tomorrow.  Chocolate on choclate. Harper loved it, might have put me into panic mode for a split second. Quickly, realizing the cupcakes should have been put up out of eye level so they wouldn't have been screaming at the girls to eat them. There wasn't much to do once Harper had gone to town on the cupcake except to bathe her (chocolate head to toe), mop the floor and put her down for a 2 1/2 hour nap.
HG counting her money so she can buy her dream Princess Castle.
She has only wanted this thing for two or more years.
The reviews are terrible, the castle is expensive.
Then Target had this on sale for $50 and free shipping.
We jumped on it.
She says her dream will come true the day she finally touches her own dream castle.

We chased crocodiles and played make up for 3 hours waiting on HG to wake today.

Kitty came to play this afternoon.

The husband has landed and on his way home.
Not before a stop at Freebirds though.
We are all so happy he is home.

Two families are hurting very badly and need your prayers.
The first is an officer that was killed in the line of duty.
He worked to protect and serve and lost his life doing just that.
My heart and prayers go out to the family.

The second hits close to home.
My Aunt's good friend, who she has known forever, friends with her parents, has a mother/daughter bond, lost her 14 month old son last night.
This is a picture perfect family.
Husband is a doctor, wife loved every minute of raising their perfect son.
Over night, in the blink of an eye, he was gone.
Sids.
At 14 months.
Just when you think you can stop worrying.
You learn about SUDC.
Today even when i least expected the tears, they flowed down my face.
My heart is a wreck for them.
Please pray.

Breathing machines & pools

Busy and exciting week over here.
Just as we had hoped to rest from New Braunfels and Liberty Hill, we hit the ground running.
Lots of passed out babies.

HG has mastered her bow.
One proud Daddy that she wanted one.
And yes, she picked out her fish shirt and skirt.

Tuesday, we went swimming with Grandmommy for a bit.
Or as long as Harper could hang.
While we loved spending time with Grandmommy, I think we will skip that water park until HG's birthday party.
We have it rented out.
In other words, no crazies except those with us.
Like night and day to Keller Pointe and Trophy Club Splash Park where we typically go.

We went to Keller pointe for an hour swim Monday after visiting the Pedi.
HG has a friend she plays with in the afternoons while her mom and I chit chat.
She actually encouraged us to take Harper swimming.
Said the chlorine would help clear her allergies/cold.
Tuesday morning at 5, it hit.
Croup.
Clear as day.
I've said it many times, you will know when it is croup.
Chris mentioned it to me at 5 am and I said I already knew.
It isn't exactly cool outside so taking her out or riding around in the car would be pointless.
I stuck her head in the freezer more than once.
Fifth time in 20 months.
We ended up with our own nebulizer, our old Pedi believed you needed to be at Urgent Care or ER for a treatment.
Every 4 hours.
Lets just say she HATES the machine.
HATES it.
HATES.
Girl is strong too.
She is much better, no longer contagious and even got to play with a friend today.
Then the 17 runny diapers began..........
Lets hope that is from the snot, teething and steroids pushing everything out.
She is acting  fine.

I love that our neighborhood has a cat.
Such a loving an friendly cat.

Not wanting to nap, going to town on those molars.

Stephanie and Harper came to play all afternoon today.
Both girls were out like a light at 6:30 and 7.
We had a lot of fun hanging out upstairs in the playroom trying to keep cool.
Steph and Harper are just the sweetest.
She is my fashion girl, always dressed so perfectly.
