American Girl Birthday lunch

Harper had the idea of taking HG to American Girl in Chicago for her Birthday a few months back. I quickly booked for AG in Dallas since we were going to be in Texas over her Birthday and kept it a secret until it came close to the big lunch.  Grandmommy joined us and even treated us to lunch on HG's big birthday. 

Grandmommy surprised HG with an American Girl who looked just like her. This had been on her want list for quite sometime. AG is HUGE up here, some girls having 7-8 dolls. One of HG's friends has a 16 foot custom AG doll house, it is amazing.  To say she was thrilled was an understatement.

Harper is really into dolls and all the latest accessories. Of course with all the AG hype from big sis and her friends, this was the #1 item on Harper's birthday list. She caused quite the scene from on lookers when she realized she was getting a doll.  She laughed, she cried, she kissed her doll.  The ladies around us agreed that all kids need to react like Harper does to special events. 

The big birthday girl turned 7.

Both girls love their dolls, enjoyed lunch (thank you Grandmommy!) and can't wait to have the next tea party with them.
