One month

One month.
We made it one month.
With a 5 and a 2 year old.
I think a new baby will make your older kids seem that much busier.

Hudson has fit perfectly into our little family.
The girls worship their baby brother and I pray they always do.
I'm talking worship, HG saying she wants to adopt him forever.
Definitely makes your heart happy seeing all they love they have for him.
Bringing home babies with older children can be challening, something I worried about.

Hudson was 7 pounds 4 ounces at birth, left the hospital 5 days later at 6 pounds 14 ounces.
His one week check up, he was just above his birth weight.
At his one month check up, actually right on time, he was 11 pounds 2 ounces.
No wonder why he is filling out 3 month clothes.
Our little man likes to eat. AND EAT.
We've been dealing with a little night time colic a lot of nighttime colic issues and this rapid weight gain is one of the causes.
Our Pedi said over 4 pounds in a few weeks is a little much.
Imagine eating constantly in the evenings, constantly, and then laying down for the night.
You woud get a killer belly ache as well.
Then the start of night time colic.
And still having night and days mixed up a bit.
It all adds up and was creating an issue in poor Hudson's belly.
He has been up from 2-7 each night with major belly issues.
This has allowed me one hour of sleep many nights and having the girls up at various times.
Last night,  I stuck a pacifier in his mouth instead of letting his cluster feed in the evening.
We gave him some gas drops and I took gas x at dinner time hoping it went into my milk.
He slept much better last night.
Much better.
He woke up in 3 hours intervals, diaper change, nursed and then fell back asleep.
SWEEEEEET.
I needed that small amount of sleep, it started at 9:30 last night.

Easiest way of bathing 3 kids at once for a mama who can't stay bended over the big tub yet.
Poor Hudson, he needs a bath often too or his neck rolls stink.
And with constantly eating, we are changing diapers twice an hour sometimes.
Last night, we only had four diaper changes.
We are determined he takes a pacifier to help soothe him.
I think the breast fed babies need a pacifier but many would argue this.

At one month...
He hates the swaddle.
He hates his arms swaddled.
He hates the rock n sleeper.
He hates the pacifier the majorty of the time.
Last night, he lost his battled and stayed like this for a good while.

Very excited for month two.
