Snow

We've had a great weekend.
Well, besides traffic.
A 20 minute drive took us 90 minutes on Saturday.
Friday, we sat in traffic 38 minutes at one stop light.
Poor Grapevine!
We managed to fight it and arrive with smiles on our face.
The twins turned 2.
Toni let HG bring Belle home.
Big day around here.
We had dinner with the Holcombe's at Saviano's.
It is a little dive that turned out to be great.
To die for bread.
Today, we went back through closets adding to the piles we have for giving away or boxing up for Harper.
I am giving away a lot right now, it is good to declutter.
Plus I love to dress kids a like.
Like I LOVE it.
Sundays best, I cant wait for the girls to match.
Miss Harper just needs to get a bit bigger.
Both girls need clothing but I refuse to buy anything until after we settle.
Hopefully Harper and get a lot of wear out of the stuff in storage.
Honestly, I can't remember what I kept and what I sold or gave away from HG.
Guess we will find out.

We made Rachel Ray's smashed cauliflower tonight with our grilled pork chops, pinto beans and lemon pepper brussel sprouts.
It was so yummy.
I couldn't get over how great it was.
And easy.
I didn't use butter and did it a little different.

2 (16 ounce) bags frozen caulifower but I used fresh
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
¼ cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
2 cups chicken broth. (I didn't have enough so I added water and chicken cubes.
2 tablespoons butter

cook the cauliflower in the chicken broth for 10-12 minutes.
drain and save the liquid.
Add about 1/3 cup of the saved liquid to the cauliflower.
Mash the cauliflower to resemble mashed potatoes.
Add cheeses, salt and pepper.
Stir until mixed well.
Enjoy!

Can you believe it is snowing outside?
Little HG was so excited she took off in her swimsuit.
It was the 3rd one she wore today along with many other outfits.
Goodness, she is a mess.

Hopefully I will be able to post a little more this week.

I need to post pictures of the house.

We close next Thursday.

Hoping to possibly move it up a day or two.

There is SO much to do before we can move in.

New carpet. New wood. New paint.

We will redo kitchen after we move in.

Storage.

Oh the storage building.

I have no idea we were going to start on that as well right now.

Sounds like we will.

Before all the maddness hits, we're taking a little trip this President's Day weekend after celebrating the husband's birthday.

No, nothing fancy and with the kids.

Should be a beautiful trip.

The big adults only trip is later this summer.

whoo hoo!

  1. You know I LOVE de-cluttering! We love that mashed cauliflower too....take a bit of work to make, but well worth it. Our snow here is almost gone, but I got Boyd out in it bright and early this morning. :)
