Let it snow

Jax came to play
Happy for lunch!

Wanting to go play in the snow.

Heading to lunch.

The ground was much too wet from the rain and ice.

Bear on top, frog on the bottom.

Old man winter gave DFW and East Texas quite the winter storm today. HG was running around announcing to anyone that would listen how much she loves the snow. The snow, which doesn't happen often in Texas, is quite the treat for kids. Like many others who feel the need to venture out in nasty weather, we put on our beanies and headed to lunch. Luckily, we have a lot to choose from in a 3 mile radius. After deciding to stop at Target over Walmart, we decided on lunch at Bottlecap Alley. Much to our surprise, it was pretty good. The prices were decent, big screens everywhere and was full of families. It is an Aggie fans must for games. A quick trip into Target for milk, turkey, ground beef and a few other items the snow had stopped. This made a snow crazy little girl extremely sad and with nap time creeping up on us, it only made the drama worse. She is now snoring next to her snoring daddy. So much for a little peace and quiet!
Chris and I are lucky enough to be part of a 4 day trip to the Naples Ritz Carlton in April.. We are beyond excited and think a little R & R is. Just what we need after the heart ache recently. I've already checked into the spa for a few much needed relax treatments. HG is booked at Camp Aunt Tonia and let's just pray she'll want to home when we pick her up. She is beyond excited and has already asked if April is here today. It is going to be. Long few months.
Sweet Jax came to play yesterday and we had such fun. He is just adorable and has the biggest smile I've ever seen. While HG adores baby Jax as she calls him, she DOES NOT WANT A BABY BROTHER. I have tried explaining to her that it doesn't matter what the baby is as long as it is a healthy baby. She cries and screams for a baby sister or a baby Olivia. No, we aren't naming the next child Olivia, HG just likes that name. It is funny how at the toddler age they think if they yell loud enough they will get what they want.
The rest of the day was spent boxing up clothes for HG that she can longer wear, dinner as a family an dancing with a strobe light. Yes, it was like a disco ball at our house tonight. HG loved it.Tinkerbell doing dishes.Meet Bling. Yes, a pink pig named Bling that talks and says "LOL". HG loves it. Thank you Aunt Zita.
